What is this?

Sense pleasure is the experience of pleasant sensations occurring through the five senses (sight, hearing, taste, smell and touch). It is an experience that is both subjectively and intersubjectively valued, and comprises sensory qualities such as pleasant smells, soothing sounds, and enjoyable tastes. Significantly, it involves a bodily recognition and appreciation of the pleasure, not just an intellectual grasp. Sense pleasure therefore functions to give us an appreciation of and engagement with our bodily environment, as well as a form of self-expression.
