What is this?

Dionysus is a term used to describe a powerful archetype in Greek mythology that embodied uninhibited revelry, intoxication, and ecstatic liberation. Representing the forces of nature, this god of Greek religion is associated with wine, pleasure, fertility and joy. He was also a popular god in mystery cults, being known as a god of death and rebirth and as the liberator of hidden knowledge that lives in the unconscious and instinctual mind. Dionysus encourages us to embrace our wild, uninhibited natures and live with the primal instinct of celebration and freedom. He teaches us to open up to the mysteries within and to experience the joys of connecting with the power of the natural world and all its life.
