What is this?

Samadhi practice is a type of meditation practice that cultivates the integration of sustained awareness, mindfulness and relaxation. It is traditionally employed within the non-dual meditative traditions of Buddhism, Hinduism and Jainism. It entails cultivating an abiding, relaxed yet vitally aware presence in life that penetrates deeply into the body, heart and mind. It culminates in the immediate experience of a profound stillness and the direct recognition of unconditioned, universal awareness, which can include a greater breadth of emotional and mental clarity, insight and joy. Ultimately, the purpose of samadhi practice is to liberate the practitioner from the grip of personal identification into a more intimate connection with life.
