• um as i explain actually the perception of the world of
• sphere of nothingness no sphere of neither perception or non-perception it's beyond the the the uh kind of more

• session of labeling of a of appearances and things but cessation of perception of any kind of forming of anything any

• those appearances and materiality and measurement and perception and appearance
• destroyed all of these are destroyed all these other perceptions are destroyed and it's just this consciousness without
• thing perception space time etc the whole fabric of conceptuality is based on that
• and this is beyond all that not just beyond thinking but beyond perception beyond consciousness in the usual sense
• all that beyond perception beyond perception beyond perception beyond conception
• beyond perception beyond perception beyond perception beyond conception beyond consciousness in the usual sense
• the cessation of consciousness this total unfabricating of perception you can't say there's something there you
• that we could know meaning it's not a conventional perception in space in time in the framing of most
• realize oh that's a fabrication that whole perception that i that was being experience and entertained in that state
• fabricated eventually even spaced as a perception as appearance is fabric at a time self other world
• experienced as palpable uh experiences and perceptions so through the understanding of just
• understanding that the world of perception of self and other and things and all that becomes
• and widely of the thorough emptiness of everything the more the perception becomes more even more more easy and
• become something else because knowing its emptiness the perception becomes malleable
• and it can become divine in the perception so here's one of his disciples i don't know his name
• um the whole of conventional cognition any perception any appearance any um typical consciousness and the whole
• goes on as part of what fabricates perception and appearance all of that is quietened
• annihilated one's whole cognition and perception and conceptuality even the subtle is annihilated afterwards when
• one returns to the jitter to the whole realm of perception of conception mind and the perception that comes out of
• realm of perception of conception mind and the perception that comes out of subtle conceptuality
• um opens up a door if you like or a realm of the malleability of perception of appearance the possibility of a range
• for a sense of the divine to be part of perception all kinds of ways all kinds of ways
• but all this when we frame it this way all this has to do with perception perception perception everything hinges
• all this has to do with perception perception perception everything hinges on perception
• perception perception everything hinges on perception i was
• to unlock if you like the secrets and the doors of perception and appearance and recognize emptiness and then see now
• empty what does it free up in terms of perception and of course practically speaking the
• practically is that one can play with perception this way play with this perception of divinity
• perception this way play with this perception of divinity and even the divinity coming through one
• eyes but more than seeing through our shaping perception seeing in a certain way
• stretch it to mean to stretch it to become perception as i said everything hinges on perception so this drawing
• become perception as i said everything hinges on perception so this drawing down of the divine happens uh that i
• also happens through interpretation otherwise through perception how do i perceive this world and that my
• stressing again again it's opening up of the range of perception is part of this drawing down of the divine
• infinite and inexhaustible the range of perception can open up infinitely our perception
• the range of perception can open up infinitely our perception and that's part of that if you like the
• god through our accent more importantly through our perceptions and through our um the the the
• flowing together the imbuing of the perception with the imagination the imagination coming into like water
• mixing with water imagination and perception and this opening out
• because this expansion of the perception is part of the drawing down of the
• the angel is it the soul is it god is it the healing of perception and cosmology healing them from being
• um inflexible healing them by by allowing a flexibility into perception and opening of the perceptual
• what does healing mean me the angel soul god perception cosmology all of those are they even separate
• a singularity of conceptual framework and perception there's an opening to different possibilities of conceptual
• just the truth and with that the opening of perception in the range of perception malleability
• of perception in the range of perception malleability of perception the availability of
• in the range of perception malleability of perception the availability of different ways of perceiving
• from one way of looking for one conceptual framework one perception as if moving from one point of view to

• include to the um perceptions that we can have of the world when the perception is
• perceptions that we can have of the world when the perception is influenced imbued with uh perceptions of
• world when the perception is influenced imbued with uh perceptions of universal oneness that can come out of
• um or out of formal meditation as well so perceptions of the oneness of love everything is of the nature of of the
• compassion is or joy is or peace these are different kinds of perceptions of oneness that then become different kinds
• just a a fabrication a delusion this perception of oneness one intuits there is some kind of let's call it mystical
• could call um perceptions of universal oneness or cosmopoases that are inflected by where
• um but that set of perceptions of cosmopoieses that involve a kind of
• cosmopoieses that involve a kind of perception of universal oneness um of some kind of kind of universal essential
• because although as i said the perception is a universal one is those kind of cosmic voices are a finite set
• the um more traditional kind of um oneness perceptions of the world and those kind of cosmic places that i that
• around this i haven't quite plumbed the death depths of of this perception um they present to the psyche a kind of
• um and they can also be those kind of oneness perceptions can also be um
• unfabricating towards the unfabricated there states and perceptions of less and less fabricating we could order them and
• inclusion of both intra-psychic um phenomena images and perceptions of of this world and material objects and
• um and actually it involves a perception of this the self
• the world and the audience and the sense uh or the imaginal perception of the audiences
• involves all kinds of um perceptions of self other object um could be in any of the senses and
• sensing the soul a relatively gross imaginal perception when someone might not personify their instrument that way
• um sensing the soul or the imaginal perception of this material world but um but
• things analyzing things you could say that any and all perception which means any animal experience or any in all
• any animal experience or any in all appearances i use those words perception experience and appearance pretty much
• experience and appearance pretty much interchangeably any and all perception experience appearance is
• um any kind of delineation of perception involves a delineation of conception
• cooperating in and infusing our any fabrication of any perception any perception at all
• any fabrication of any perception any perception at all um
• clinging if you know the way i would explain the phenomenology of perception and the whole ways of looking and
• dialogue with each other to inform shape influence our perceptions of anything of in life things in existence in any
• conceiving what's happening with any and all perception uh
• um in that imaginal perception of things of life of matter of world of objects
• involves humility involves love it involves the perception and the being touched by beauty and beauty is the
• touched by beauty and beauty is the opening up of the perception of beauty um in ways that are deeply meaningful
• sense of unfathomability something that is beyond my perception and my conception something that the eros the
• one can unfabricate so much that even the um even the perception of sense contact phase
• commonly and frequently accessible perception of our food uh for example then the whole kind of craving for i
• and the soul is nourished by the soulmaking perception of the food by sensing the soul
• dependent arising of the imaginal perception the dependent rising of what is sensed with soul
• [applause] discerning between imaginal perceptions that are more uh going in the direction

• things is something that happens in and through perception so when we talk about alchemy we're
• so when we talk about alchemy we're talking about the realm of perception of of our sense of things and this
• as they appear to be the nature of the fabrication and perception is subject and object get fabricated together
• necessarily involve or mean or imply a making ethereal in the perception and making a theory or making less solid or
• making translucent or luminous or any of that the perception in other words there can be this

• the fabrication of perception no perception no thing no self no other no object no space
• transcendent experience beyond time of timelessness beyond any perception there's also possible through this

• that kind of timelessness but in and through the perceptions we have of of things happening in this world in time

• timelessness of this moment of this perception of this thing of all of that so these kinds of this is what's
• in other words this this is part of the perception of an awakened one a buddha or a bodhisattva who's had certain
• us but we recognize that the images the perceptions have a kind of timelessness to them and so this
• regularly accessible and easily available as perceptions different kinds of timelessness just
• yes of course of course there's time of course there's a perception of time and one deals with that and one relates
• cosmoporosis and these um multiple dimensions in our perception of time
• and all that and there's the possibility of the perception the experience here now in and through and in and through
• these worlds of of of of these levels of perception realities dimensions and non-separation
• inherent in available in present in present to perception to experience in and through this very appearance not as
• practice in development in the evolution if you like of perception of experience and what's available and what makes a

• what are the possible ideas we can have about perception so again we can have perception as just we have we have the
• about perception so again we can have perception as just we have we have the idea either unconsciously or
• but i could have another idea about perception which is um again with the ways of looking the
• um so that that's a whole other idea about perception that perception is [applause]
• so to speak and go beyond this world of um uh avija and fabricated perception or again touching on what we've already
• one is kind of um perceptions in the service of just you know operating in the world and
• just mention that or the idea about perception is that there's
• of all kinds of landscapes and vistas appearances perceptions experiences for what for the sake of soulmaking would
• views are ideas concepts about what what perception is and what it's for etc one possibility is that it's a the
• one possibility is that it's a the playing with perception service of creating and discovering
• attitude and idea related related to perception is that it's just reality it's just a kind of one wouldn't use a
• once in a talk about um healing the perception of the world so that that concept of tick on alarm
• there's also the level of healing the perception of the world redeeming it from
• soullessness flatness lack of divinity lack of beauty in the perception so yes hopefully we make beautiful things in
• of the beholder in the creation discovery of soulmaking perception we can create we can
• can create we can create view to heal the perception of the world
• different possible ideas about perception or ways of if you like ways of understanding or conceiving of what
• of understanding or conceiving of what perception is um and and by that i wasn't even more
• um and and by that i wasn't even more feeling what perception is again what i'm talking about is not abstract
• have a sense a felt sense of and a conception of perception as gift and grace
• something and we receive a certain perception from saul some experience opens up some way
• felt sense and conception wrapped up with a felt sense of perception as gift and grace that's possible
• second possibility of a conception and a felt sense of perception is is his work because of uh the the potential
• because of uh the the potential malleability of perception through ways of looking i can work i'm in the moment
• possible to fabricate or unfabricate or shape perception of self other world etc and again what for what for what's the
• as a conception felt sense of of what perception is um work perception as work something i
• perception is um work perception as work something i work at something that i am working at
• an opportunity comes etymologically from porta which means door so perception as a door as as we said with the um three
• because there's an opportunity to know perception as gift and grace with participation in the divine
• through our perception i've touched on all this before i'm not sure when but
• through embodied action but it's also through our perception and our experience itself
• things always and in all things whatever the perception is there's this possibility through our participation
• or the opportunity or the work of perception through our participation we participate in the divine which

• part of the fabrication is penalizing the perception of everything everything all perception is the
• the perception of everything everything all perception is the penalizing that way but we're
• something that's perceived that is material and shared perception with other so-called conventional perception
• material and shared perception with other so-called conventional perception sometimes that's imbued with mythos and
• so so we see at any moment all perception to penalizing fabricated empty
• unfabricating of learning to fabricate less and less perception through different practices and eventually
• to the unfabricated one is not fabricating any perception at all the exploration and the deep insight in
• of experience in terms of the range of perception in terms of understanding and and what's possible in terms of
• oh i learned that thing either that um perception or a sense of self or it was not fabricated then their founders when
• they're unfabricated this transcending of any perception darkness because it's a there is no
• would call cessation of consciousness cessation of perception of feeling if you know the dharma language lingo from
• unfabricate this non-fabricating of perception once the soul has emerged from dark from that darkness from that
• uh for them the world become the world of perception becomes malleable um and i don't know the answer to how
• which exposes the fabricated nature of all perception emptiness of all perception and going deeper into that
• all perception emptiness of all perception and going deeper into that opens up the malleability of perception
• perception and going deeper into that opens up the malleability of perception in the world of the imaginal
• light as in not heavy not solid the malleability of perception there so just pointing out some parallels
• givenness of things is enlightened as to solve things become liquid perception becomes malleable now it also does that
• deepens there's a sense too of the body and the world of perception becoming less solid more malleable also through
• um liquefying aspect this making less solid of the world of perception is unfabricating aspect as what they do
• and an experience of emptiness of this um fabricated nature of perception through imaginal practice
• divine world can be perceived or we can deliberately incline the perception that way through all these practices all
• and to the opening of the imaginal and the perception of a divine world the deliberate perception of divine world
• the perception of a divine world the deliberate perception of divine world will bring meta effortlessly and samadhi
• understand the deep emptiness of perception the fabricated nature of perception
• perception the fabricated nature of perception but when we practice meta it will give
• so all this uh talk of the imaginal and the malleability of the perception of self other world it's all
• uh practicing the perception seeing the sensing of everything as divine self
• and through through the imaginal and through the malleability perception tan means a tantra means that the means of
• at another level is being re-sounded through my perception my seeing it my experiencing it as image
• fantasy the mythoy that pervade our perception and our being in the world it can mean man can mean to think
• or present to what is being presented in this world to the world of perception what is being offered through my life
• or through the life of another as i see it or or through the perception of this thing or the world the world as offering
• um that's within a context of this this perception or seeing of appearances as divine that's the context for those
• which is this um practice of the perception of all things as divine or seeing all
• saying much earlier they liberate ways of looking perceptions of of that divinity of all things

"Until All is Liquid" (Emptiness and Sensing with Soul) - (Four Circles, Four Parables of Stone... 45 mentions

• loosening or liquefying or degree of unfabricating of the perception cell for the world etc and the elements of our
• depth of of fading really when all perception disappears
• etc appearing they they still retain form form is part of the perception of this or that or this or that imaginal

• trying to achieve more fading so there's a certain degree of fading of perception of body sense self-sense world sense

• so yes there's that possibility that all perception every every element of perception

• certain a certain um realm of sense perception or certain object uh doesn't think one
• experimental exploration and curiosity about the fabrication of perception not just of the self sense
• viewing oneself as an artist of perception as a magician as a sorcerer etc all this may be woven in to kind of
• the possibility in the loosening and unbinding to some degree of perception of this or that there is then increased
• emptiness uh perception beforehand so i go um just based on past practice and all
• sense we saw when when there's an imaginal perception there is some degree of loosening there is some degree of of
• loosening on by unbinding um fading of perception to some degree to some degree which is exactly what
• emptiness as a way of looking at all perception and then things will just fade and as i said before at that time
• because there's not going to be any image there's only any perception you can come out of that and things will be
• as a certain level of emptiness perception and just regards this or that as my body it's just an appearance this
• thought is just an appearance um even the perception of this desk it's just an appearance at times just an
• it's not the deepest level of emptiness perception um
• it's not the deepest level it's only a certain level of emptiness perception it's one of a range of
• this um a certain emptiness perception at a certain level not the deepest which i
• i wanted to communicate right now um the use of emptiness perceptions and practices to loosen
• don't always have to be the deepest emptiness practices or perception one perceptions one knows
• emptiness practices or perception one perceptions one knows so in this case i've you know spent a
• more imaginal was that emptiness perception of um that emptiness way of looking of
• each other um so so the the emptiness perception itself the emptiness way of looking of
• this way um they're a very deep perception of emptiness comes about
• and it will liquefy and unfabricate to some degree or perception uh
• eternality timelessness um that that can be then the perception of that thing whatever thing it was the
• mind body feelings perceptions thoughts tensions consciousness itself etc and so
• the the breadth and depth and beauty of of soulmaking perceptions of sensing soul
• um so that means something that's an imaginal perception is empty but also a conventional perception is empty
• imaginal perception is empty but also a conventional perception is empty the deluded perception is empty all of
• conventional perception is empty the deluded perception is empty all of that is empty all of those perceptions
• the deluded perception is empty all of that is empty all of those perceptions are empty all things are empty
• different realms um as uh you know perceptions that are as real as anything else as real as
• phenomena esp and all kinds of things and shamanism and energy perceptions and aura perceptions and all that and that's
• and shamanism and energy perceptions and aura perceptions and all that and that's all important and great i think
• existence are sort of opened up to my perception i'm gonna share this very briefly the other in another talk the
• um but sometimes it's it's almost like that the perception of the angel uh or the angelic
• dimension of a human being is almost more heavily weighed than the perception of their
• status the degree of being of reality um equivalent to any human perception or any physical perception
• um equivalent to any human perception or any physical perception um
• conventionally socially agreed upon perception would sanction so there's this individual differences

• familiar with the mundus imaginaris with the imaginal realm and the perceptions they want to actually notices like oh oh
• middle way from other perceptions so for me and i thought quite a lot
• the unimaginal figure or imaginal perception of something is in the eye in the in the centers in the soul of the
• um perception or actually any perception and whether it's imaginal or material is
• have this imaginal figure or this beautiful perception of sacredness and if it's dependent on the way of looking
• eros unfettered talks one really gets a sense of perception mixed with the concept of my eros is is somehow i'm
• one's own mind one's own insights one's own perceptions one's own conceiving one's own holding of ideas and
• what excuse me also gets a sense can get a sense and a perception of participating in that
• sense that um this perception i'm having right now and this soulmaking is happening right now
• aspects and dimensions of my being that that involves in that perception that concealing and that openness in the in
• got more used to the imaginal realm and the perceptions there was oh yeah there's that there's that quality it's

• soul is not non-conceptual it's not a non-conceptual perception um i uh you know one of my little
• non-conceptive just for a moment of the cessation of perception just for moments when there is no fabrication and
• when there is no fabrication and um all perception is um
• pacified to borrow nagogenous phrase there's a fading of all perception cessation of all perception feeling and
• there's a fading of all perception cessation of all perception feeling and that is a non-conceptual experience in
• too much right now but um for me any and all and any perception has concept woven into it and certainly any dharma
• into it and certainly any dharma perception if you like or perception that arises in the context of dharma

• always already happening is a conception as much as it is a perception um we have a an imaginal figure
• devotion these are all conceptions as much as their perceptions the whole conception and scent of an

• or whatever or intuition or feeling or perception another person can say i don't believe
• some of you will be of a sense or an intuition or a feeling or a perception that awareness is not empty of inherent

• the buddha said if you understand perception you don't need to understand anything more it sounds like such a dry
• awakening it's the understanding of perception it sounds very dry we would rather hear something else perhaps but
• our very sense of awareness is wrapped up with perception i'm going to go into this in more detail
• very important but again it's a perception and secondly here's a citizens number one
• dimension of nothingness dimension of neither perception or non-perception these are very deep meditative
• these are very deep meditative perceptions the all perceives all perceives nirvana

• a scent but still if it's an object for the mind it's a perception right to perceptions in the realm so

• i'm using perception as experience and object consciousness and perception you could say also independent rising
• consciousness that perception part number constant perception is the same as

• have a known independent over knowing i can't have a perception independent of consciousness i can't have consciousness

• having some conviction that the known meaning perceptions are empty that and remember talks about developing
• letting go of identification etc the perception begins to fade i begin to see it's dependent on the way i'm looking
• as i just said the consciousness must lean on perception perception is empty falling it's falling through a vacuum
• hold in meditation a sense of this moment or this perception whatever it is stillness or calmness or whatever this
• not empty that which is empty so that meaning perception object in other words this thing i'm looking at
• relishing objects not relishing perceptions one does not relish consciousness

The Fifth Jhana (The Realm of Infinite Space) - (Practising the Jhānas) 43 mentions

• what if i with the complete transcendence of perceptions of physical form
• that because i don't like that with the complete transcending of perceptions of physical form with the disappearance of
• physical form with the disappearance of perceptions of resistance and not heeding not attending to
• and not heeding not attending to perceptions of diversity realizing
• this the complete transcending of perceptions of physical form is translated by someone else here as by
• which words is um plural of sanya which is perception and rupa is an interesting word because
• something like with the complete transcending of perceptions of materiality
• pinpoint it more more easily with the disappearance of perceptions of resistance uh perceptions so the floor
• disappearance of perceptions of resistance uh perceptions so the floor is resistant to me and that's why i can
• um and not heeding to perceptions of diversity or manifoldness means not not
• things transcending the perception of materiality
• the setting down is really the pie putting down of the perception of resistance it's another way of saying
• translations though not with the transcending of perceptions of materiality etc
• active aspect i actually tune the perception i play with perception so that the infinitude of space opens up so
• passive recognition and active active playing i i play with my perception so that infinitude the sense of infinity
• really go in and out of these genic perceptions and move um move between these different realms
• what's happening to the sense the perception of the materiality of the body here i see it normal consciousness
• um in this cosmo it's it's much more subtle it's more refined the perception of the materiality of the body it's
• anything else that one might perceive that's the non-attending to perceptions of diversity
• and also in the after effects on perception as i mentioned yesterday these to me the after effects on
• these to me the after effects on perception become really important at this level the foremost genres
• release where released from the perceptions of materiality and solidity and that really is felt as a release
• on our list of what stuka but the release from perceptions of materiality and solidity really is a uh
• this sense of release from materiality in this whole perception the cosmic oneness they really affect the being
• why all this oneness and non-heeding to perceptions of diversity meta is unconditional love the more oneness the
• diversity and not attending to perceptions of diversity then everything is everyone is equally
• can certainly lean into at times or in the after effects on perception it might be in those after effects you might have
• give them funny names so the after effects on perception um i think again this is so so important
• that's still important that space thing it's it's a it's an important perception um but the second one is that and this
• with this with this with this kind of perception that the perception of oneness oneness of materiality oneness
• that all sensuality and all sense perceptions are he says he gives three options but it's really the third one
• all dukka all sensuality and all sense perceptions are dukkah then second one he gives all sensuality all sense
• he gives all sensuality all sense perceptions are impermanent so these are again they're not just like oh yeah
• bring release now they change the perception now if i just need to do over and over and
• over i'm training i'm training i'm playing with perception over and over but the most significant one here of the
• it's just all materials you'll sense objects uh uh sense perceptions are are kind of not not i'm just not interested
• both in the in the sense of oneness that comes in the after effect and perception also if you follow that inside way of
• way of looking or through the after effect of on perception from from the janet realm there's just elements of the
• a lot of fifth janet or other kinds of meditation there's this other perception available where you look at something
• so to speak it just doesn't appear solid so you can also train your perception play with a way of looking where you're
• on how many probably how familiar you are with that kind of perception from before
• some degree so that this kind of perception if you're practicing many different any different kinds of
• magic of jhana practice and this magic of playing with perception and it's the same
