Metta practice, or loving-kindness meditation, is a profound and heart-centered practice that involves the cultivation and radiating of boundless, unconditional love and kindness towards oneself and others. Through intentionally focusing and directing well-wishes such as "May you be happy, may you be well," we nurture a warmth and benevolence that can soften the hardest of hearts and dissolve barriers of separation. This practice invites us to explore and expand the felt sense of connection, beyond the limitations of ego and individual concern, fostering a deep sense of care and goodwill. Metta practice, therefore, becomes a transformative journey of opening the heart, cultivating an inherent capacity for compassion, and nurturing a harmonious resonance with all beings, paving the way for profound inner peace and spiritual awakening.
