What is this?

Felt sense is an embodied awareness of oneself or the environment. It is immediate and direct and is typically experienced in the ‘here and now’. It is neither interpretation nor conceptual thought but rather a subtle manifestation of the senses that can be embodied in awareness. It is a unitive experience of being, blending together body and mind, that is typically experienced as a ‘knowing’ from within. It often brings a sense of connectedness and understanding to the individual and this can be used to increase clarity and well-being if attended to skillfully. In short, felt sense is a direct sensitivity to the moment, which links perception and emotion.
