• so so much in the languaging of mindfulness or dharma um one one person was talking about
• say is the main point of classical dharma which exactly is understanding that how perception is fabricated i said
• this is the thrust of the main point of why we call classical dharma um meaning dominant doesn't include the
• and so there's this in in the in the both in dharma culture and other spiritual cultures if we even use the
• years old and have been surpassed in science and philosophy in in dharma in all kinds of things
• as we said uh dharma understand if we go deeply enough if i approach it in the right way
• basis but permeating through the whole of the dharma with all this as i said in in in in
• with uh with anything really or certainly not the dharma um
• um because how often i hear from people they were listening to a dharma talk from this teacher or that teacher or
• what we'll find in our practice and in our lives and the way the dharma sort of develops for us is is actually kind of

• basis a basis for then the whole of the dharma and the whole worldview and all the rest
• of some kind or the other what about a basis for the dharma in the exploration the exploration through practice and
• that as a basis as as a summary if you like of what the dharma really is how it works how it all fits together an
• what about that as a sort of nutshell explanation of what the dharma is and as a basis for what the dharma is
• explanation of what the dharma is and as a basis for what the dharma is that gives a very very different sense

• was my fantasy of self and cosmos and then building the dharma around there and and that not being admitted
• that's what's uh that's why i'm choosing this kind of version of the dharma so when a dimensionality is
• you can tell when a philosophy is and or or even a dharma or um

• much you give me some techniques in the dharma i use to calm down and to let go of this and that and have a bit more
• passions and whatnot but if we really love the dharma how do we reconcile how will we
• therapy and actually spilling over from there into the dharma some people talk about
• clinging and desire is that we get to a place after some years of dharma practice where we're
• some conceptual conceptual understanding some ways we're thinking about dharma even if we don't think we're
• conceptual frameworks and and an understanding of dharma that can allow us to open to that habits place have it

• if if our the whole dharma conceptual frame of thought if our whole sort of edifice

• could be in dialogue with the buddha dharma with the tradition with the buddha
• sometimes openly and also in uh in in some dharma centers so either explicitly
• um that's starting to open in some dharma centers and dialogues and everything that's really really
• um again explicitly or implicitly certain kind of secularized dharma may actually be a form of proselytizing
• colonialism epistemicide etc within the dharma so there's a kind of without i i doubt
• pick up later but um i heard a meditate the dharma teacher say
• one can't go in a dharma center on a meditation retreat one can't go he said one can't

• but actually again that's not what the buddha said the dharma was never so it's about being with what ears or just being
• we could go off on a tangent about art and the dharma and how sometimes the through dharma assumptions we actually
• and the dharma and how sometimes the through dharma assumptions we actually limit what's possible in dharma r etc

• i said is part of what we could conceive of the whole dharma project being to see in other ways to see in other ways

• as an ending of rebirth what does an endless dharma what might it mean the
• um in a kind of sort of rather narrow modernist version of dharma it's like that's what awakening is
• perhaps how might the dharma be endless well we'll come back to this book but
• the beauty of that so that might be one way that a dharma could be endless
• what practice is and what the dharma can be then that too creates an endless dharma
• and what the dharma can be then that too creates an endless dharma because soulmaking is endless why
• organically into the scope of what the dharma is now those four are um not necessarily separate at all you can

• clear enough space for soulmaking dharma then also perhaps uh some reflections on

• with imaginal practice and this whole soulmaking dharma one doesn't often certainly in
• might have been the foundations of soul making dharma and um it might have been on the opening
• became a composer and then i gave up i came uh threw myself into the dharma full time
• but whatever that principle thing is um dharma or whatever you know there will always be flitting in and out with
• um i had a dream that a dharma teacher colleague

• that's going on in the body usually typical or rather mainstream dharma can say whose is it and say it's anata it
• normal human way of functioning but in in the mainstream dharma approach um one of the one of the contemplations
• identify with it there's the possibility of a traditional dharma view of regarding it's not me not mine and then
• possible i think like all retreats um even a sort of mainstream dharma retreat we have to be careful about what
