What is this?

The brain is a complex and mysterious organ whose precise functions are still being understood. Its physical structure results in many interdependent processes, including cognitive, emotional, sensory, and motor functions. Its major divisions, the left and right hemispheres, are interconnected, allowing for the integration of functions at both conscious and unconscious levels. The actions and behaviours of the brain are dependant on both the physical and biochemical composition of the individual. As such, the brain can present differently in each person, oftentimes creating an intricate and highly personalised system of communication and response. It is through these functions that the brain is able to facilitate behaviour, understanding and experience, with an impressive capacity for adaptation, learning and memory.
