What is this?

The physical body can be understood as the outer body of a living being, made up of living tissue, protected and organised by an internal cell structure and external framework. The physical body is subject to physical changes in response to internal and external stimuli, and these changes are directly related to biological processes, such as metabolism and fundamental physiological development. At the same time, the physical body is also fundamentally tied up with our sense of identity and selfhood, as it is through our corporeal experience of the world that we all come to know ourselves and others.
