What is this?

The imaginal dimension can be understood as a realm that lies at the heart of contemplative inquiry and experience, often connected with notions of inner wisdom and capacity. It is an intersubjective field of conscious presence, enabling us to experience and explore non-ordinary states of consciousness, sometimes called the domain of being. This domain allows us to access inner knowledge or wisdom in our lives, and to make contact with the mysterious realms of creativity, intuition and our interconnectedness with the cosmos. In this way, the imaginal dimension nourishes our fuller engagement in the world, both in a practical and spiritual sense.
