What is this?

Collective action refers to a unified effort of multiple individuals, organizations and/or governments working together to achieve a common goal through coordinated actions and/or policies. This type of concerted action is particularly advantageous when individuals, companies, or countries are unable to act in isolation to tackle large-scale issues due to their limited capabilities, resources or influence. In the current era of global climate change, collective action is often viewed as the only way to make meaningful progress toward the collective goal of providing a secure and sustainable future for future generations.
