What is this?

"UBI" stands for Universal Basic Income—a policy proposal for the provision of an unconditional, regular payment to all citizens, regardless of their employment status. This form of income security is intended to ensure a minimum standard of living and to mitigate the effects of poverty and inequality in society. By providing a basic income to all individuals, UBI seeks to create more equitable economic distributions and to provide a more secure economic foundation for those with lower employment prospects or inadequate working conditions. Additionally, UBI can be seen as an investment in human capital, as it creates a sense of economic security and encourages individuals to pursue further education, training, and business opportunities.
