What is this?

Suffering is a state of distress in which the individual experiences a lack of control over a difficult situation. This can manifest in an emotional, physical or spiritual sense, and is often an opportunity for personal growth, understanding and transformation. Taking the time to explore and reflect on the nature and meaning of suffering can lead to an appreciation of life’s fragility, an exposure of mortality, and a greater capacity for resilience, growth and acceptance.
