Indigenous realities refer to the varied and diverse practices, techniques, and epistemologies that are associated with Native, Black, and/or Indigenous cultures around the world. They are reflections of a collective memory that is used to make sense of one's present and anticipate a more just future by engaging with profoundly embodied and participatory practices. Indigenous realities are derived from a commitment to understanding political and ecological forces, intergenerational care, and reciprocity, and their emergence is the pursuit of the reclaiming of knowledge and the crafting of practices that undo arbitrary authority and human hubris.
