A decentralized organization is an organizational framework characterized by the lack of a centralized governing structure and allowing for distributed power among different stakeholders. It is based on horizontality, collaboration, and peer-to-peer networks, whereby partners interact with one another in a non-hierarchical way and are both producers and consumers of the organization's activities. This structure allows decisions to be made more quickly, efficiently and collaboratively, breaking down traditional barriers of communication and providing more flexible and agile dynamics.
